ADOGO Training is pleased to offer comprehensive dog training services. We provide our training clients (both dog and owner) with an exceptional training experience.

All dogs coming to training must have the same vaccinations required by all dogs coming to ADOGO Pet Hotel (Bordatella, Distemper and Rabies, as well as a negative Fecal exam that must be verified through your vetenarian ). Training class dates and times may be subject to change.  There are no make-up classes or refunds once classes begin or for missed classes. 

 

TRAINING

Private TrainingNeed help with common problems like housetraining, jumping up, and aggression on leash. Or do you prefer a one to one setting to teach your dog basic manners. We can help you. Training is scheduled at time that works for you and the trainer. 

Cost $65 per session

 

Board & TrainWork on basic skills like walking on a loose leash, come, sit, down and stay. Or behavior concerns like jumping up, leave it and giving up stolen objects. Five 15 minute training sessions and a report card on what was worked on. 

Cost $55/per day (Sign up for 5 or more days and get a 1 hour follow up with the family for free.)

 

Puppy Level 1:  For  puppies 8 weeks to 4 months. Experts agree the first 3 months are the period for puppies to adapt to new people, animals and experiences. Incomplete or improper socialization during this time can increase the risk of behavior problems. ADOGO provides that important experience as well as introducing basic skills like sit, down and walk on a loose leash. There is also the opportunity to have basic puppy questions answered.

Puppy Level 2 Take your puppy's education to the next level! This class is designed for puppies between the ages of 6-12 months and/or that have already completed Puppy Level 1. We will focus on basic obedience while working through challenging distractions. We will play games and puppy agility to build confidence, body awareness and continue socialization. This class is a great intro for Dog Training Level 1.

Wednesdays 7:30-8:30 PM, Upcoming Class: June 19 - July 24

Mondays 6:00-7:00 PM, Upcoming Class: June 24 - July 29

Cost $120 / 6 sessions

 

Dog Training Level 1:  This class focuses on the skills needed for your dog to be a happy member of the family. Basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come, and loose leash walking are taught using the "clicker method" or "marker words" to promote positive reinforcement and confidence building. We will continue your dog's socialization and have time to correct undesired behaviors such as jumping and barking. Open to all dogs.

Wednesdays 6:00-7:00 PM, Upcoming Class: June 19 - July 24

Cost $120 / 6 sessions

 

Dog Training Level 2: Continue to master skills from Level 1 Training. Introduce off leash work and control. Dogs will learn to successfully work when distractions are present. Take the Canine Good Citizen test at the end of this class session or sign up for our Canine Good Citizen Prep Class.

Canine Good Citizen Prep Class:   Canine Good Citizen (CGC) is a certification program developed by the American Kennel Club (AKC) that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. Obtaining CGC certification has many benefits and is a widely recognized accomplishment. Class participants will learn and practice the testing requirements in the first 5 weeks of class and take the test on the 6th week. Prerequisite: Dogs should be able to sit, down, stay and walk on a loose leash.

Mondays 7:30-8:30 PM, Upcoming Class: June 10 - July 15

Cost $125 / 6 sessions

 

Control & Focus Training:  This class is designed for dogs that are easily distracted, particularly while on leash. These dogs often bark and lunge at other dog's upon approach and do not respond to commands. This class will use behavior modification techniques to teach your dog to relax, settle and focus on their owner. This class also includes a half hour individual session (to be scheduled prior to the start of the group class) where your dog will be assessed for appropriateness for class and owners will recieve introductory homework to prepare for class.

Agility Fun:  This class allows handlers and dogs of all ages to experience agility training at a fun and basic level. Agility training will improve your relationship with your dog, while also boosting their confidence and increasing body awareness. Busy dogs love to jump, weave, climb and crawl their way through an agility course. Obstacles can be modified to accomodate both dogs and handlers, so all are welcome.

Dog Sports Sampler:  This class introduces you and your dog, to three different dog sports: Agility, Rally and Nosework. We will spend two weeks on each sport. Perfect if you want to do it all or see what your dog likes best! This class is open to all dogs. 

 

Thursdays 6:00-7:00 PM, Upcoming Class: June 20 - August 1 (skip 7/4)

Cost $120 / 6 sessions

 

Class Requirements:  Please bring a 4-6 ft leash (no retractables or "flexi" leashes), a buckle collar, harness or head halter and motivational treats (cheese, hotdog, chicken). All dogs attending ADOGO training classes are required to have the following vaccinations: Bordatella, Distemper, Rabies (puppies up to the discrection of the vetenarian) and a negative Fecal exam.

 

KIDS CAMP

At ADODO we love dogs and kids!  It is time to sign your dogs and kids up for Kids Dog Training Camps. These camps offer age appropriate dog training taught in a humane and dog friendly manner. The use of games and activities keep learning fun for all.     

 

Dog School Summer Camps

For Youth from 9-14 years old

Dates: June 17 - June 21, July 8 - July 12, July 22 - July 26 and August 5 - August 9

Times: 9:30AM - 3PM  

Cost $275 per youth.  Early drop off or late pick up $10

Dogs and their kids will spend the day learning basic training, tricks and some basic agility. Play fun games and activities such as bone races, Lassie says, poop pick-up races and doggie red light green light. Dogs will get nap times when kids do doggie crafts and make dog treats.   

 

TRAINER

Kelsey Wehr

Kelsey received her BA in Biology with a focus in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from the University of Northern Iowa. Her passion for training and competition started at a young age working with horses. Focusing on Dressage (the art of riding and training horses) taught her how to build a solid training foundation and appreciate the time and commitment it takes to create a successful team.

Kelsey has since shifted her focus to canines. For the past 5 years, she has focused on training dogs and competing with her own dogs in agility, obedience, rally, and dock dogs. She has shared her home with dozens of foster dogs possessing various behavioral issues. She also has 4 years experience working as a vet tech in both private practice and shelter environments.

Kelsey focuses on teaching owners how to effectively communicate with their dogs. She is very results driven and enjoys helping owners reach their unique training goals.
