ADOGO Training is pleased to offer comprehensive dog training services. We provide our training clients (both dog and owner) with an exceptional training experience.

All dogs coming to training must have the same vaccinations required by all dogs coming to ADOGO Pet Hotel (Bordatella, Distemper and Rabies, as well as a negative Fecal exam that must be verified through your vetenarian ). Training class dates and times may be subject to change. There are no make-up classes or refunds once classes begin or for missed classes.
TRAINING
Private Training: Our private training sessions provide a personal training experience developed to meet your dog's specific needs. Private training is ideal for clients who wish to achieve quicker results, have schedule conflicts or have a dog that is not suited for group classes.
While most any behavior problem can be solved in private training, common sessions include: leash reactivity, pulling on the leash, excessive barking, food agression or resource guarding, bolting or not coming when called, jumping and excitability and speration anxiety.
Board & Train: Board and Train provides your dog the opportunity to receive individual and personalized training while you are away. You will discuss specific goals with our trainer, who will train your dog in multiple short sessions each day. Common training rquests include loose leash walking, impulse control, bolting or not coming when called, resource guarding and jumping. A detailed training report is included upon pick up.
Cost $55/per day (Sign up for 5 or more days and get a 1 hour follow up)
Puppy Level 1: For puppies 8 weeks to 5 months. This puppy class introduces basic obedience commands and addresses common puppy behavior problems such as nipping, jumping, chewing, and housetraining. There will also be an emphasis on socialization, where your puppy will get to meet many new people and other puppies. Finally, the class will include many games to play with your puppy to boost their confidence and strengthen your bond.
Mondays 6:00-7:00 PM, Upcoming Class: June 24 - July 29
Cost $120 / 6 sessions
Puppy Level 2: Take your puppy's education to the next level! This class is designed for puppies between the ages of 6-12 months and/or that have already completed Puppy Level 1. We will focus on basic obedience while working through challenging distractions. We will play games and puppy agility to build confidence, body awareness and continue socialization. This class is a great intro for Dog Training Level 1.
Wednesdays 7:30-8:30 PM, Upcoming Class: June 19 - July 24
Cost $120 / 6 sessions
Dog Training Level 1: For dogs of all ages. This class focuses on basic obedience commands such as sit, down, stay, come and heel. There will also be an opportunity to address common behavior problems such as jumping and barking. This class provides a wonderful foundation to ensure that your dog is a well-behaved member of the family
Sundays 2:00-3:00 PM, Upcoming Class: June 16 - July 28 (skip 7/7)
Wednesdays 6:00-7:00 PM, Upcoming Class: June 19 - July 24
Cost $120 / 6 sessions
Dog Training Level 2: Continue to master skills from Level 1 Training. Introduce off leash work and control. Dogs will learn to successfully work when distractions are present. Take the Canine Good Citizen test at the end of this class session or sign up for our Canine Good Citizen Prep Class.

Canine Good Citizen Prep Sessions/Testing: Canine Good Citizen (CGC) is a certification program developed by the American Kennel Club (AKC) that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. Obtaining CGC certification has many benefits and is a widely recognized accomplishment. Class participants will learn and practice the testing requirements in the first 5 weeks of class and take the test on the 6th week. Prerequisite: Dogs should be able to sit, down, stay and walk on a loose leash.

Loose Leash Walking: This class will teach your dog how to walk on a loose leash so that walking through the neighborhood is no longer a chore. Your dog will learn to stop pulling on the leash, pay attention to you when faced with distractions such as other dogs or people, "leave it" and automatically sit when you stop. Class is four, 1 hour sessions.
Control & Focus Training: This class is designed for dogs that are easily distracted, particularly while on leash. These dogs often bark and lunge at other dog's upon approach and do not respond to commands. This class will use behavior modification techniques to teach your dog to relax, settle and focus on their owner. This class also includes a half hour individual session (to be scheduled prior to the start of the group class) where your dog will be assessed for appropriateness for class and owners will recieve introductory homework to prepare for class.
Class Requirements: Please bring a 4-6 ft leash (no retractables or "flexi" leashes), a buckle collar, harness or head halter and motivational treats (cheese, hotdog, chicken). All dogs attending ADOGO training classes are required to have the following vaccinations: Bordatella, Distemper, Rabies (puppies up to the discrection of the vetenarian) and a negative Fecal exam.
KIDS CAMP
Dog School Summer Camps
For Youth from 9-14 years old
Dates: July 8 - July 12, July 22 - July 26 and August 5 - August 9
Times: 9:30AM - 3PM
Cost $275 per youth. Early drop off or late pick up $10
Dogs and their kids will spend the day learning basic training, tricks and some basic agility. Play fun games and activities such as bone races, Lassie says, poop pick-up races and doggie red light green light. Dogs will get nap times when kids do doggie crafts and make dog treats.
TRAINER
Kelsey Wehr
Kelsey received her BA in Biology with a focus in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from the University of Northern Iowa. Her passion for training and competition started at a young age working with horses. Focusing on Dressage (the art of riding and training horses) taught her how to build a solid training foundation and appreciate the time and commitment it takes to create a successful team.
Kelsey has since shifted her focus to canines. For the past 5 years, she has focused on training dogs and competing with her own dogs in agility, obedience, rally, and dock dogs. She has shared her home with dozens of foster dogs possessing various behavioral issues. She also has 4 years experience working as a vet tech in both private practice and shelter environments.
Kelsey focuses on teaching owners how to effectively communicate with their dogs. She is very results driven and enjoys helping owners reach their unique training goals.
